Meet Your Instructor

James obtained his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University. Since 2012 he has worked at ITT Goulds pumps in Seneca Falls NY as a Project Engineer. In this role he gained experience in the many pump designs available through ITT Goulds Pumps. This position required him to develop a working knowledge of machining, fabrication, castings and metallurgy, destructive and non-destructive testing methods, coatings, welding practices, industrial instrumentation, vibration fault analysis, and hydraulic performance requirements. He currently works as a Chief Engineer for End suction and multi-stage pumps in the research and development group. In this role, he manages production issues related to Gould’s products and works with product management on development of strategic hydraulics to provide premium designs to our customer base. He is looking forward to bringing a small segment of manufacturing knowledge to this course!
