Learners complete four 5-10 question quizzes, earning 80% or higher.

Complete the four asynchronous modules, which include a lecture and a quiz.

Meet Your Instructor

With almost 40 years in design and construction, as well as the past 8 years developing and teaching senior and graduate courses at Clarkson University, James J. Billings, P.E. (Jim) provides a unique and diverse perspective of the engineering industry.  

His professional experience in the private sector includes strategic planning, program management, design, and construction of major infrastructure projects throughout the U.S.  Jim’s held corporate leadership, management, and technical positions, as well as served in advisory roles to municipal, planning, and zoning boards.

He has also served on executive boards of several professional societies and technical associations.  He’s been active in many community activities in support of local and regional causes.

Jim is a 1978 Clarkson grad in Civil & Environmental Engineering, and a Professional Engineer in 8 states.
